ContractScan

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ContractScan at https://contract-scan.dev and related APIs and tools (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. Contact: support@contract-scan.dev.

What ContractScan is

ContractScan runs automated static analysis on single-file Solidity you submit (including third-party tools such as Slither and Aderyn, heuristic checks, and AI-generated explanations or optional patches). ContractScan is not a professional security audit, legal advice, or investment advice. Findings can miss bugs and include false positives. For contracts that will hold real value, obtain a professional audit.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for activity under your redeem codes, API keys (if any), and payment transactions.

Acceptable use

Your content

You retain rights to source code you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that code solely to provide the scan and related features (compile, analyze, generate explanations or patches, enforce limits). We delete submitted source after processing as described in our Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the code and that doing so does not violate others’ rights or law.

Plans, payments, and refunds

Digital products and Creem checkout

We may sell digital products on the site (for example the Foundry business-logic preflight template pack, currently offered around US$99 / early-bird pricing as shown at checkout). For those purchases, Creem acts as merchant of record: you complete payment on Creem’s checkout, and Creem’s checkout terms, tax collection, and payment processing apply to that transaction in addition to these Terms.

Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties (compilers, analysis tools, hosting, AI providers, blockchains, and payment or merchant-of-record partners). Their outages or policy changes may affect availability. Blockchain payments are irreversible once confirmed on-chain.

Intellectual property

The Service, branding, and our software (other than your submitted code and open-source components under their licenses) are owned by us or our licensors. Open-source components are provided under their respective licenses. Site content may not be copied for competing services without permission.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that scans are complete, correct, or sufficient for deployment decisions.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your submitted code, or your violation of these Terms or law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, non-payment, legal risk, or ToS violations. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimers, limits of liability, and indemnity) survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where law requires otherwise.

Governing law

Unless mandatory local law says otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of ContractScan as identified on invoices or business filings, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that venue have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections where they apply.
